Barbell Club Member Contract
Gym rules and regulations:
Membership confers the privilege to use and enjoy the facilities of the “Barbell Club” gym solely in accordance with the “Barbell Club” gym’s rules and regulations. Barbell Club membership is provided to selected individuals of good character without regard to race, sex, ethnic background, sexual orientation, or religion. All members and guests are subject to follow the rules and regulations as described below and as posted in facility. If any of the following rules are broken by “Barbell Club” members or guests, this could result in forfeiture of Barbell Club” member privileges and access to gym for the responsible party.
- Revive Fitness Spa, LLC reserves the right to suspend or terminate any membership for any reason.
-Revive Fitness Spa, LLC is not responsible for personal items, including keys, left at the gym. Articles found on premises will be kept for 14 days. Revive Fitness Spa, LLC is not responsible for any lost or stolen items or damage to personal property.
-Any persons not in good health that chooses to exercise and/or use the gym and its facilities assume any and all risks involved.
- Revive Fitness Spa, LLC reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.
RULE #1 - Gym access is granted only to Amarillo S&C Barbell club members and approved persons ONLY.
Any guest of a member (approved or not approved) found at facility without Barbell Club member will automatically forfeit Barbell club member’s access to gym. (See rules and regulations for “sponsored athlete”/ “approved guest”)
Rule #2 - No gym-owned equipment is to leave facility premises for ANY REASON.
This rule applies to “Barbell Club” members and sponsored athletes/approved guests alike. Not even a lacrosse ball or jump rope shall leave the premises even if it is with the intent to return item. It would not be fair to other barbell club members who might also want the use of those items.
Rule #3 - All gym equipment shall be used appropriately, safely, and with care.
Each “Barbell Club” member assumes any and all risks involved with use of the gym and the facility’s equipment. Revive Fitness Spa, LLC is not responsible for any injuries or accidents during use of the facility; this includes “Barbell Club” members, sponsored athletes, and guests. Any and all “Barbell Club” members have the right and are encouraged to express if they feel as though another “Barbell Club” member or guest is using equipment irresponsibly or in an inappropriate manner. “Barbell Club” members are financially responsible for equipment broken during irresponsible or inappropriate use. (This does not apply to regular wear and tear of equipment use.)
-Rower handles are to be returned to saddle. NEVER JUST LET GO OF ROWER HANDLE.
-Never drop/dump and empty barbell or a barbell loaded with only metal plates. If there is ANY concern that you might have to drop barbell, be sure use bumper plates.
-Never drop/dump kettlebells or dumbbells from any point higher than hang position (below waist).
-Use small bumper 10lb plates whenever possible to avoid premature breakage (or “taco”) of 10lb training plates.
Rule #4 – Do not provide unsolicited help or training advice.
Barbell Club members were selected based on their barbell proficiency and understanding of our training methodology. This gym format is not an invitation for you to fulfill your dreams of becoming a personal trainer. Don’t be the “know-it-all” that makes our facility miserable place to train.
Rule #5 – Revive Fitness Spa, LLC owners and employees reserve the right to make use of the facility to conduct personal training and/or group training.
Personal and group training is limited to employees of Revive Fitness Spa, LLC. Any Barbell Club member receiving money, goods, or services in exchange for training will result in immediate forfeiture of barbell club member privileges and access to gym for both responsible party and trainee.
Rule #6 – No pets allowed inside gym.
This is for the safety of trainees and pets. Plus, not everyone is a pet lover.
Rule #7 – Barbell Club members shall conduct themselves in a professional manner and treat other members, guests, facility, and fellow commercial park tenants with respect.
No spitting on the gym floor. Use chalk sparingly. If you make a mess, clean it up (this includes chalk mess and bathroom mess). Be respectful of other commercial park tenants and other commercial park patrons.
Rule #8 – Barbell club members are responsible for returning all equipment back to its proper storage place (including plates) prior to leaving facility.
Before leaving gym make sure barbells are placed either in storage rack or lifting rack. All plates (metals and bumpers) shall be returned to proper storage places. All conditioning and mobility equipment shall be returned to proper storage place. Leave the gym cleaner than you found it. If you are the last person exiting facility, turn off all lights, heaters, and lock door behind you.
Rule #9 – Dues shall be paid every month via Paypal autodraft system.
This rule applies to both Barbell Club members and sponsored athletes. Gym access will be denied to those individuals who are not making timely payments for any reason.
Rule #10 – Barbell Club membership is non-transferrable.
Facility use and barbell club member privileges:
Barbell club members are granted 24/7 access to facility use and full access to gym website. Each Barbell club member will be provided with a unique website sign-on. This sign-on will be different from those issued to sponsored athletes and subscribing guests. Barbell club members are not to share website sign-on with anyone else.
Barbell club members have precedence over sponsored athletes/guests for the use of equipment and/or facility space.
One key will be provided to each “Barbell Club” member for 24/7 access to gym upon contract signature. Gym keys shall not be copied or shared with anyone else. (See Rule #1) In the event you lose your gym key or your gym key is stolen, you will be responsible for purchasing a replacement.
A keypad code will be provided to each “Barbell Club” member. This keypad code is not to be shared with anyone. If you forget code, lose code, or find keypad code is not working, contact a gym owner ONLY (Chris Urteaga or Yvonne Urteaga).
Sponsored Athlete/Approved Guest Program:
A barbell club member may sponsor an athlete or bring an approved guest(s) with express consent from barbell club owners. (Sponsorship will be limited and granted on a case-by-case basis.) Any and all guests WILL NOT be allowed to access facility or use gym equipment without club member presence. Neither sponsored athletes nor guests are allowed to bring children or guests of their own into facility. If your sponsored athlete or approved guest arrives to gym before you do, even if the gym is already open, they are NOT ALLOWED TO ENTER FACILITY UNTIL YOU ARRIVE. No one else will be responsible for your sponsored athlete or approved guest but you.
A “Sponsored Athlete” is defined here as a barbell club member guest that workout and use facility appropriately and safely under the supervision of Barbell Club member. Sponsored athletes will be required to pay monthly dues for facility use, but will not be granted full barbell club member privileges. The Barbell Club member assumes FULL RESPONSIBILITY for their sponsored athlete’s safety, understanding, and adherence to club and facility rules and use of equipment. You will take financial responsibility for your sponsored athlete which includes injuries and/or broken, stolen, lost items. Sponsored athletes must be twelve (12) years of age or older, unless given express consent otherwise. In the event of limited equipment availability, ANY barbell club member will have precedence over sponsored athlete for use of equipment or gym space at any time. (For example, if your sponsored athlete is using the last available rack, any barbell member can ask your approved guest to immediately move off of the rack.)
An “Approved Guest” is defined here as a barbell club member guest that would remain in a safe and approved area while barbell club member makes use of the facility. Approved guests may be family members, children, spouse, or significant other who will not be granted use of any of the facility’s fitness equipment unless provided express consent from barbell club owners. The Barbell Club member assumes FULL RESPONSIBILITY for their guest’s safety, understanding, and adherence to club and facility rules. You will take financial responsibility for your approved guest which includes injuries and/or broken, stolen, lost items.
-Children under the age of 18 years old will not be allowed to use the facility without signed parent/guardian consent. Children not participating in a designated youth class must stay off of the gym floor while fitness equipment in use. Revive Fitness Spa, LLC/Amarillo Strength & Conditioning is NOT responsible for the safety of children and/or any guests. Options provided to those that wish to bring children:
1) Enclosed, non-supervised play area with small TV and toys.
2) Sit on the chairs by the entrance or safe area around perimeter of the facility.
Automatic Extension of Membership:
The “Barbell Club Member Contract” shall automatically renew each six (6) months for a period of six (6) months unless terminated in writing. This extension renews and extends all terms, conditions and agreements contained in the “Barbell Club Member Contract”.
Termination of Membership:
Termination of membership after period of contract term has been met (6 months) will incur no penalty. Gym key must be returned to business owner, Yvonne Urteaga, upon termination of membership.
Voluntary termination of membership and/or cancellation of payment before the period of contract term (6 months) has been met will incur a penalty equal to the remainder of membership dues left in contract term.
Barbell Club Member Agreement:
