Panhandle Power has a history of competitive success at the local, state, national, and international levels. Our lifters hold state and national records and have competed in World Championships. Our door and hearts are open - we love helping kids get stronger!

Student Strength & Conditioning Camp - Summer 2024

Take advantage of the summer break to harden the mind and body by attending Amarillo Strength & Conditioning’s summer strength and conditioning camps, designed specifically for student athletes. The demands of sports are vast and require a wide range of physical traits such as strength, power, speed, agility, and unrelenting stamina. Our Strength & Conditioning Program will be a comprehensive two-day per week program designed to emphasize all of the physical attributes that are important to student athletes and will be performed in a positive team-building atmosphere. Participants will also receive advice regarding nutrition, recovery, and injury prevention. All that is required of the participant is his/her motivation and a willingness to work hard - we’ll provide the equipment, instruction, and RESULTS.

Come test your fitness with your friends in our DEKA Dry Tri Challenge. No need to be a member nor is there a fee. You and your teammates will have nine minutes to get the best score between the three of you. Each person will start on a rower, ski erg, or bike and switch out for nine minutes at the top of the minute. You can come back as many times as you wish to get a better score.

LEANER – Since body composition is mostly dependent on quality and content of fuel consumed, participants will be consulted individually about optimizing macronutrients and calories to achieve training and/or body composition goals.

Lifts Covered: Squat, Press, Bench Press, Deadlift, Power Clean, Rows

Cost: $25 per session

Pack your lunch in a shaker and join us for a midday strength training session under the barbell. Black Iron Lunch is offered Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11AM-1PM. To accommodate various lunch schedules, Black Iron Lunch is conducted as open two-hour strength session, meaning you can come and go as you need to during the two hour class period. Strength and conditioning classes for students offered on select Saturdays 10am-11:30am. Each class begins with a group warm-up and agility course work. An hour is dedicated to strength training. Each class is concluded with a high intensity interval training for maximum cardio output. No prior experience or registration required.
